Icicles No. 53 - Glass Dildo

Good shape for texture-lovers

Texture and material construction: The Icicles line is made of borosilicate glass. This, of course, means it's nonporous, and therefore can be sterilized by boiling, wiping with alcohol, soaking in a 10% bleach solution, or running through the dishwasher (with no detergent). Like most glass toys, the No. 53 is super-smooth and slick, so a little lube goes a long way. The shaft features a spiraling ribbed texture, while the larger "head" is smooth.

Review Details: I need to be quite warmed up for this toy. I own a lot of smaller dildos, such as the VixSkin Spur and the Tantus Leisure, but I'm increasing my collection of larger-diameter toys as I get better at the warm-up process. So, after I've used several smaller dildos, gradually moving up the size scale, I can slowly get the 1.5"-diameter tip of this toy past my PC muscles without pain. The slickness of glass helps with that, since there's essentially zero friction. Once inside, the rounded shape does create some decent g-spot stimulation.

The swirled ribs on the shaft add a LOT of vaginal-entrance stimulation for a sensitive person like me; I prefer to thrust it slowly so I don't overwhelm those nerve endings. Slow thrusting feels nice at my entrance, but my g-spot prefers fast thrusting, so I can only really stimulate one or the other well with this toy.

The base may be enough for safe anal play, but it isn't big enough to hold it in my RodeoH harness. It may work with strapped harnesses if you can use a smaller, non-stretchy O-ring (maybe 1").

I'm not a huge fan of pink, but the color is pretty pale, so it isn't too offensive. The No. 53 is very similar to the Magnificent Wand by Don Wands, though, which comes in cobalt blue.

I'd recommend this dildo to those seeking an inexpensive glass toy with an intermediate amount of texture.

Fantastic toy!

I use this as an anal toy and it is absolutely incredible!! The girth provides a nice full feeling and the size of the head allows for some hands free play as well. The base is nice and wide and allows for full insertion with no danger of getting it in too far. It is the perfect length and massages my P-spot nicely. Being glass, it cleans up and sterilizes very easily. I recommend lots of lube and working up to full insertion. Bottom line, it is very well made and will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this toy!
