I was immediately attracted to the Hookah’s design and its literary inspiration. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was never one of my favorite books, but it left an impression on me as a kid. The main character was a girl, there was no romance, and the adventure was actually a bit dark. The very idea of just going through a portal to another world… I love sci-fi and fantasy. And the Hookah’s shape, even if you’re not thinking of a talking caterpillar, really fits the genre. Kind of tentacle-y? I chose the blue, and it has a nice shimmer.

I’m a lazy masturbator. Being slow to orgasm, I rarely have the patience to warm up with another toy and extend my sessions even longer. I like to go straight to the main event. But with the Hookah, it’s usually necessary to warm up with another toy first. I also use plenty of lube – Sliquid Sassy is my favorite.

This dildo looks cute and friendly, but it’s a beast. It is super intense. It’s because of those curves. This toy is more intense for me than Mr. Hankey’s Dragon Xtra-Small in 75% Softness. The Tantus Super Soft density is firmer which heightens the intensity of the texture. But the difference is really down to the pronounced curves. Those cute curves go POP POP POP when I insert it.

It can be a bit uncomfortable sometimes, but that discomfort works for me. It just heightens sensitivity and makes my body super focused on each sensation. My sensitive spots have no place to hide. Each curve is perfectly positioned for maximum stimulation without any work on my part.

The Hookah was built for clenching. And rocking. It’s not great for thrusting, but I can manage slowly gliding it in and out repeatedly. That third bump near the base is the most dramatic of all, so even slow movements aren’t exactly gentle. Using it with the curled head toward my front vaginal wall is my favorite position, but experimenting with it sideways is also pretty fun and arousing.

When something is on my mind, I see references everywhere. I was listening to Janelle Monae’s ArchAndroid album at the gym yesterday, and then it got to the song “Wondaland.” You can guess what came to mind. I set the song on repeat. Today the Google banner was an image of Alice and the Cheshire cat.

I totally love the Hookah if you couldn’t tell already. While its girth, shape, and density are perfect for me, I don’t think it’s a great toy for everyone. It’s not a middle-of-the-road toy.
