Texture and material construction: The Off With Your Head Hitachi Magic Wand attachment is a squishy silicone replacement cap for your Magic Wand Vibrator. The silicone used to make this toy is soft, plush, and stretchy enough to fit snugly on your Magic Wand. It’s thick enough to be durable but thin enough for the vibrations to travel relatively well.

This cap also has the added benefit of having have additional ridges for extra stimulation. One side has three flexible, soft, horizontal ridges for texture on a larger surface area. The opposite side has one long vertically raised nub that is meant to be rubbed against the clitoris for more acute stimulation. This attachment is very easy to put on and take off. They actually included a little tab of silicone to make removing it effortless.

One downside to this toy is that it causes the Magic Wand to be, almost distractingly, loud. I’m not sure why the silicone increased the sound so much but it did. Because it is silicone it does have lint and drag but it is no worse than with other silicone toys. Also, it is super easy to clean. Just wash it with soap and water, let it dry, and place it back on the toy.

Review Details: I can’t lie, the first few times I saw this item on SheVibe I ignored it. I assumed that it was a cap that you would put over the PVC head on the Magic Wand and that wasn’t something I wanted. I felt like the vibrations would be dampened too much. However, on a whim I decided to look a little closer and realized it’s an actual replacement head. I was so excited because

1) I had no idea you could take the head off the Magic Wand and

2) PVC is porous and hard to clean. I’d actually taken to putting a condom over it if it was going to touch my vulva directly. So the idea of replacing it with a body safe silicone head made me super happy.

When it arrived and I opened it my first thought was OMG this is so soft and squishy. I’m not sure why I was imagining something harder but the silicone was so much better than what I envisioned. When I exchanged the heads and turned on the wand, I was happy to note that the vibrations were still powerful. There was definitely some vibration dampening when it touched your skin. I won’t lie and say that it isn’t noticeable.

However, the vibrations were still much stronger than any rechargeable vibrator I own. Now, I tried the new head in two ways. The first was over my underwear, since I masturbate that was a significant amount, and the second was directly against my vulva. My over the underwear experiment didn’t last very long, and not for a good reason. The drag associated with the silicone pretty much made using my vibrator this way impossible. There was simply too much friction for it to slide over the material. Plus, the silicone vibration dampening combined with the extra layer of material just left the vibrations too weak to give me the stimulation I needed.

With that method ruled out I moved to direct vulva stimulation. This worked significantly better. As I said the vibration were still dampened but with the direct contact they were still quite strong. The silicone felt so soft against my skin and just glided through the lube. And because it is so plush, I could apply a good deal of pressure and not hurt myself. After playing with all sides of the head I found that I LOVE the side with the three ridges. The flexible protruding silicone provided just the right amount of pressure and texture to my clitoris. I tried the other side with the one ridge as well but was honestly unimpressed. It was in too odd a position to really get it up against my clit. I did find however that the little tab they included to make removing the cap easier actually worked pretty well for pinpoint clitoral stimulation.

In the end though it was the three ridges that got me off. It took a little longer than normal because, again, the vibrations weren’t as strong but I was still very pleased with the buildup and my orgasm. The one major downside I have to using this attachment is that it made the Magic Wand louder, which I didn’t think was possible. Most of the time it doesn’t bother me but sometimes I find it so distracting that I have to switch the heads back. I think it all depends on how much I need to focus to achieve my orgasm.

Overall though I am glad I got this replacement head. It may not be able to be used over clothes, but I honestly have no problem using the original Magic Wand head for that and the Off With Your Head for direct vulva stimulation. I do wish it didn’t make the wand so loud but it’s worth it to know that what touches my vulva is body safe.

Review Details: I seriously love this thing and think it should come packaged with every Magic Wand. The Off With Your Head attachment is incredibly well-designed and increases the sensory options of the Magic Wand. On one side is a molded tab which can be used for concentrated clitoral stimulation, and I find myself starting almost every session with it. On the opposite side, there are three raised horizontal ridges, which can be used to add intense friction to the already intense vibrations. I prefer side-to-side friction to up-and-down friction, so when I use this side, I hold the vibrator sideways and nestle my clit between two of the ridges, which then stimulate my inner labia. The rest of the head is smooth silky silicone, so the Wand can still be used the way the original was intended: to apply strong, deep vibrations over a large area.

The Off With Your Head replaces the textured vinyl head of the magic wand rather than just fitting over it, which is great for a few reasons. First, it does not diminish the strong vibrations of the Wand like covers which add extra layers of material. Second, it is super easy to remove and clean, so no more hauling the wand to the sink and anxiously trying to clean the head while keeping the rest of the appliance dry. It is so much easier to clean, because it is smooth, so I no longer have to use a toothbrush to get it fresh and sparkling! I admit that I am a Magic Wand addict and have been for almost a decade, and I did not clean the head as frequently as I should have. Since I got the Off With Your Head Attachment, I clean it after every use and as a result have had NO yeast infections since. Wow, and yuck. Third, it made me realize that I can use the Magic Wand without any head on it at all: I press the uncovered vibrator against the base of a silicone dildo and voila: the strongest vibrating dildo in the world!

This has been a serious revelation for me. The only downside of the attachment is that I believe it makes the already notoriously loud Magic Wand slightly louder. This effect is minimized by making sure it is very snugly in place. I think if you are already using the Magic Wand, noise is not a big concern of yours so I doubt the difference will bother you.

All in all, this is a wonderful accessory and I wish I had gotten it MUCH sooner. I didn't think I could love my Magic Wand more than I already did--this has really taken our relationship to the next level :)
