The Maverick is much bigger than perceived from the picture. The largest point of the head is a whopping 6" in circumference, it is very soft mimicking the real thing. The largest point on the shaft is about 6-1/4" in circumference, a small area around 3" from the tip. The rest of the shaft, which is about 6-1/2" long, is 6" in circumference. So Maverick is rather girthy compared to average size dildo of 4-1/2" to 5-1/2" in circumference. When you squeeze it, it feels as close to the real thing compared to any other dildo I've tried, you can feel the softness on the surface and the stiffness in the core, mimicking the real thing. Texture and material construction: The dual density silicone is squishy on the outside and firm on the inside. It has no noticeable smell. It is smooth, but has a "grippy" feel that requires lubricant. It definitely seems well made.

Review Details: I was very attracted to this toy because of the positive reviews and large size (2" wide), but hesitant to buy because of the extremely phallic and flesh-toned nature of the item. But my husband gave it to me as a gift, and boy am I glad he just went for it, because it is great! I quickly got over the embarrassment of having a big silicone penis in my drawer, because it is just so nice. I really like the girth of it; I need lubricant, but don't have much difficulty inserting it (maybe because I've had two children?).

Thrusting with it is nice (as long as I have lots of lube), as is fully inserting it, but my favorite use is just keeping it near my vaginal entrance and gently moving it in and out. I should note that I don't really think it feels like the real thing. And in case you're wondering, as I was, if the outer layer of silicone moves separately from the inner core (like the real thing), it doesn't. I'm not sure that's a drawback, though. My husband got me the caramel color (because I didn't want the albino one), and it's fine. I do wish it came in some non-skin-tone color.

Review Details: I can't describe how great this toy is. I was looking for an upgrade to my cheap PVC dildo (now in the trash), and I'm so glad I discovered Vixskin. Maverick feels so good, first because of the squishy silicone layer, and because it's just a great mold: the huge glans is awesome for g-spot stimulation, with a perfect-sized coronal ridge for me, and the foreskin-like protrusion completes the package, to give me staggering orgasms that make my head spin and my ears feel fuzzy. My only complaint is that the base (which Vixen calls a suction cup) is finicky; you have to learn to work with its limitations. It sticks very well on a flat surface (up to a certain angle, at least, but any suction cup has that problem), but if I’m looking for hard-and-fast thrusting action, then I have to make sure to keep my hand around the base or it’ll fall off right before I come. It sticks fine if I’m warmed up before I start thrusting or I just want to go slow.

Overall, Maverick is more than worth the money. I think I’m in love!
