Great Starter Toy

Great size for just starting out, works great teamed up with a vibe (I use my we vibe tango, they make a great couple)! My only gripe is the same as someone else mentioned, it's so smooth that you don't really get much sensation out of it.

This toy is great, especially as a beginner’s toy. It’s simple and at a decent price point, my only gripe is that it’s so smooth that you don’t necessarily get much sensation out of it. Works fine for using in addition to another toy, though; I love teaming it up with a bullet vibe.

Small starter for anal play

I purchased this for beginner pegging play. It’s super smooth and non-threatening for a beginner. The rounded tip makes for easy insertion as well. It performs well with my preferred water based lube and gets very slick. I love that the base is wide enough I can also use it in hand and not just with my harness.

If you’re looking at this for anal play, be aware of the size. It’s not got much length for deeper thrusting, which can be a downside for sure, and the girth isn’t much at all either.

While it was great in the very beginning we quickly hit the point where we needed to size up.

Perfect for its purpose!

Texture and material construction: Tantus' silicone is delightful. The Silk Small has a glossy-smooth exterior, very slippery when lubed; the silicone is on the firm side, but not TOO firm - it is slightly squishable and very flexible due to its small girth; and the pink and purple shades both have a gorgeous pearlescent shimmer. (And while I'm not a fan of pink, Tantus' "pink pearl" shade is very pretty.) This little dildo also has a relatively large and sturdy base, enabling harness play and anal play. And of course, silicone is nonporous, body-safe, and sterilizable.

Review Details: This was the first dildo my partner and I bought for penetrating her vaginally. She's never had sex with anyone with a penis, and had never been penetrated by anything other than a finger. This was the perfect choice to start out with because it's very slim, has a softly rounded tip to make insertion comfortable, and has a perfectly smooth shaft. The curve in the shaft saves it from being boring, adding a nice subtle bit of g-spot stimulation. I used it on her with my hand at first, then in a harness later, and it was great both ways.

I also use this dildo myself as a vaginal warm-up for larger toys when I'm feeling especially sensitive, and I plan to use it as my first anal toy. I HAVE had penile anal sex, but it was a LONG time ago, and I've never yet used toys in my butt. The Silk Small is slender and smooth enough for me to feel comfortable trying it out.

Silky and Sleek

Texture and material construction: It's good material, nice sleek silicone, fairly firm but with a bit of give, that's body-safe and easy to clean. It has a wide base, so you could theoretically put it in a harness (although I don't know if the narrow shaft on the smallest size would cause an issue) and it's safe for anal play. It doesn't have a prominent head or any textural variation, but there is a bit of curve to the shaft, so it doesn't feel like inserting the world's most luxurious tampon. It slicks up well with a very modest quantity of lube and is easy to insert.

Review Details: The Silk is no g-spotter, but the curve provides decent front-wall stimulation when thrusting. But because of the smooth texture and narrow girth, it's not much good as something to clench down on unless, perhaps, you're the Kegel Queen and can squeeze lemons with your PC muscles. Also, this is a short toy. Which isn't necessarily a problem - but it means that if you're thrusting with the whole length, the base can potentially get in the way of any clit toys you're using. It also makes a fairly comfortable beginner's anal toy - the slender size, smooth and fairly firm texture, and lack of a prominent head make it go in easily if you use enough lube and are reasonably relaxed, and the modest girth is more noticeable this way.

Overall, this is an elegant, comfortable, and body-safe option for beginners to penetration.
