Texture and material construction: The Vixskin Randy Silicone Dildo is a thick semi-realistic toy of average length created with dual density silicone. When you squeeze the toy you can feel that there is a solid but flexible inner core, which gives the dildo stability, right beneath a soft smooth silicone top layer.

The top layer of the Randy is the thickest of all the Vixskin dildos I’ve tried, and also feels the least tacky. Vixskin toys have a unique property where when you remove your hand from it, it kind of sticks for just a second. It almost feels like you should come away with something on your hand but there isn’t anything there. All of their dildos are like this but with this one it seem to be the least detectable. I actually like the tacky feeling though, so that’s a plus in my book.

In design, this toy is realistic but doesn’t have nearly as much detail as some of the other Vixskin dildos. The surface is completely smooth and lacks the visual quality of skin. It doesn’t have veins or deep definition outlining the penile structures. In fact, the only real anatomical structures represented, other than the shaft, are the glans and raphe. So if super realistic dildos make you uncomfortable this might be a good choice.

In reference to size, this is a very, very girthy toy. I was actually shocked by how much larger the head on this toy is compared to the Vixskin Maverick. And that’s not even the largest part of the dildo. The largest part of the Randy is right below the glands. It swells out a significant amount and then decreases toward the base. Because the squishy silicone top layer is so thick it is a little forgiving. However, because of the sheer size of it, it can only give so much.

The base of this toy is quite large, which is nice when it comes to inserting the dildo because you can get a better grip. The base also acts as a suction cup. It seems strong but because of this toy's size I don’t straddle it so I can’t say how it holds up to thrusting. Overall this is a very well made toy. I will add though that, like all Vixskin dildos, it attracts more lint, and has more drag, than most toys. However, it is easy to clean and the drag can be reduced with lots of lube.

Review Details: So I am officially diagnosing myself with a Vixskin addiction. I already had three Vixskin dildos (Mustang, Buck, and Maverick) and I had been shamelessly eyeing Randy for months. I managed for a while to talk myself out of buying it by convincing myself that there might not be a big difference between the Randy and the Maverick. I always do a ton of research before I purchase my toys but I couldn’t find many articles comparing them. With the two being listed as only a 0.20 inch difference in girth I couldn’t justify buying what might essentially turn out to be just a shorter Maverick with a slightly different shape. However, I managed to find one blog article with a picture of the two side by side and it put all my doubts to rest. That 0.20 inches makes a huge difference. The Randy is significantly thicker than the Maverick.

When I got the Randy and compared the heads I didn’t know how I could have ever thought the two were interchangeable. The Randy is kind of in a league all its own. It’s short (6 inches is short in the dildo world), stout, and more plush than any of the other Vixskin dildos (at least that I’ve tried). I’m kind of insatiable when it comes to squish, and where I found myself a little disappointed with the Maverick, I found myself in soft squishy heaven with the Randy. In squishiness, it even beat out the Buck whose squish I was/am in love with. I got the chocolate color, which was a great decision because it reminds me of a tootsie roll and I just want to eat it up. So far, aside from the tie dye, it’s my favorite of the colors.

Honestly, everything was perfect until I actually used it. I am sad to have to report that the girth of this toy bested me. I have been weighed in the balance and found wanting. Try as I might, there was absolutely no getting that second hump, right below the glands, past my pubic bone. I mean I used a ton of lube, I prepped for like a half hour with three different size dildos and a vibrator on my clit, and still only managed to get the head in. The plushness of the toy did help it give a little but not as much as my body required. Trying to push beyond that just became painful.

So, having admitted defeat, I decided to just use the top 1/3 like a plug and simply squeeze around it. I clenched the length of the dildo between my thighs and let my Magic Wand do its thing. At first I felt almost desperately empty because the dildo just wasn’t deep enough. Awareness of the space it should be filling was glaring and felt like such a tease. But then as my Magic Wand worked its wonders on my clit and my muscles started to clench, it got significantly better. I don’t know if my thighs squeezing it forced it slightly deeper into my vagina, or if my contracting vaginal walls simply squished the plush silicone lengthening it a bit. But suddenly I was just full enough that my vaginal muscles could squeeze enough surface area to get me off hard. And after my climax peaked, my body was so reluctant to release this dildo. I just kept my vibrator on my clit and kept squeezing as I rode the sensations as far as they would take me. It was an awesome ride and I feel like if I ever manage to master that second hump and take the whole length my orgasm is going to be super intense. But alas, I’m not there yet. Hopefully in time I will be but for now it’s still getting me off pretty darn well.

Like all Vixskin dildos it is an amazing product that will last a lifetime if cared for properly. However, I would only really recommend it if you’re looking to test your limits and expand your boundaries. This is not an everyday kind of dildo. It’s one you pull out when you already have experience with girth and want to kick things up a notch. If that’s your experience this may be the toy for you. If not, I’d recommend trying the Mustang or the Buck first.
