One of my favorite dildos of all time
Rated 5 / 5

Texture and material construction: The Vamp is your typical Tantus silicone, which means it’s glossy and lovely and doesn’t eat lube like many silicones do…but it does devour lint like it’s a lint roller. (And cat hair. Let’s not even talk about cat hair.) I store all my Tantus stuff in plastic snack bags, to avoid any accidental silicone bonding and also prevent as much lint collection as possible, although a quart Ziploc is not quite big enough to seal closed around the Vamp. You probably want to rinse it off before using.

Cleanup is a cinch–antibacterial soap and water. If you want to sterilize you can use a 10% bleach solution or boil for three minutes.

Review Details: The Vamp is currently the biggest dildo I own; at its thickest, around the coronal ridge, it’s 5.5″ inches in circumference, and a little more than 1.75″ inches in diameter. It’s 5″ and 1.75″ down on the shaft. It’s a little less than 8″ long, a little more than 6.5″ being usable. That is about the extent I can go (vaginally, at least) in length–I never want anything longer, and I rarely bottom out with it, although I technically can do so. It’s certainly the largest dildo I own, but it’s not difficult to take. I personally don’t need a warm-up for it, but some people might. I do need a little bit of water-based lube, but a little goes a long way for me.

There’s some texture on the head and the shaft that hints at veins and skin, but it’s not overly realistic. I mean, it looks like a dick. But it doesn’t look exactly like one.

This is a straighter dildo, not necessarily designed for g-spotting, but it has a magnificent coronal ridge. It might be a bit much for some people, if you’re not into ridges, but personally, I love that ridge. It drags along my g-spot, and the front wall of my vagina perfectly without me trying, which means that if I want something else, I can easily work for it If I angle my wrist just a little, I can get it to nail my g-spot just right. If I want it to scrape my g-spot even more, I can apply more pressure easily.

There’s an immense satisfaction when it slides in. I can spend a lot of time just popping it in and out of my vagina, stimulating my entrance. I adore it. There’s also sort of a secondary ridge – sort of vaguely reminiscent of foreskin pulled back–that is also great. Like an aftershock of rigidness. This ridge is what makes this dildo, for me, fucking fantastic. I’ve had fantasies about this ridge. I have squirted all over it. This is a dildo for thrusting. (Shallow thrusting–too deep and it can be cervix bruising, but the Vamp rewards vigor handsomely, like the time I had three orgasms with it in the shower and then realized my arm was sore later). Additionally, while this dildo isn’t really curved, it does sort of lean forward, which means, when I insert it almost fully, its head stimulates my anterior fornix in just the way I like it. I can just get it in the right spot, get the heel of my palm on the base, and grind, albeit lightly. If I push too hard in the wrong way, it bumps up against my cervix in a way that’s (usually) less fun. But I’m really growing to like A-spot play (which I discovered a few months ago with my first glass dildo), and this dildo is super compatible with my anatomy in that respect. It’s a different feeling than stimulating my g-spot, and generally I don’t squirt, but my orgasms can be just as intense as if I did when I’ve got a vibe on my clit and a good grind into my anterior fornix going.

So maybe I don’t squirt every time with the Vamp, but I’m so busy having a love affair with everything about it that I don’t even care. I’m having spectacular orgasms anyway, even if I don’t always squirt. It’s saving me on laundry. Who needs squirting. No, wait. I take that back. That went way too far.

I don’t know if I’d recommend this toy for beginners–it’s a little thick, and the coronal ridge could be a bit much for some. But if you know you can handle the girth (or you want a step up from an average thickness to something a little bit thicker than average without going full-on size queen), and you like texture or ridges, there is no reason to not be snapping this dildo up like…something you snap up really quickly, I don’t know.

Umm That Was Unexpected
Rated 5 / 5

Texture and material construction: Tantus Vamp is a thick glossy dildo made of quality silicone. The silicone itself is solid, verging on hard. There is some give to the toy but it is minimal. The Vamp is designed to resemble a penis however the anatomical detail is limited. It has a nice pronounced head and coronal ridge, which worked extremely well for G-spot stimulation. The shaft of the toy has some light texture but nothing I could really feel during use. The base of the Vamp is thick and solid, which makes it ideal for holding on to when you thrust.

Like most silicone, it does need a good bit of lube in order to counteract the drag. However, it don’t devour lube like some other toys. Also, it does attract lint but it’s easily cleaned with soap and water.

Review Details: Ok, I hate to say this but the Tantus Vamp was a bandwagon buy. I only bought it because I’d read a bunch of sex toy blogs that all seemed to agree that you need this as a toy box staple. When I looked at a picture of the Vamp I was super skeptical. I’m mean it’s thick but there’s no extreme G-spot curve, which I’ve always needed to hit my G-spot. There isn’t a lot of texture. It’s not super squishy or pliable like VixSkin. It didn’t even have, what I would consider, particularly cool colors. The Vamp didn’t have any of the features that I would usually look for in a sex toy. However, so many people seemed to love it, and it wasn’t super expensive, so I said, “What the heck?” Now, I never thought I’d say this but I am so glad I followed the crowd on this one. Those bloggers where right! This is a toy box must have. I don’t know how it did it but this thing rocked my G-spot. I’ve never gotten G-spot stimulation from a straight toy before. It wasn’t that precise, super-duper intense, stimulation I get with extremely curved toys but that coronal ridge stroked my G-spot enough to make me stop and pay attention.

Now, I will say that when I first inserted the Vamp, even after warming up with a clitoral vibrator and smaller dildo, it was a bit uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable because it is thick and really solid. Plus, when I first pulled it out, it caught on my pubic bone a little, which is not something that I’ve ever had happen. The first couple minutes of use definitely seemed to be confirming my doubts about buying this toy. However, as my body warmed up more and I started to thrust a bit faster, the sensation made me ashamed to have ever questioned the Vamp’s awesomeness. As I said, it worked my G-spot incredibly well. Plus, because of the hardness of the silicone I was able to tip the dildo at an angle and get even more pressure. It was great. I reveled in all the ways I could hit my G-spot until I came really close to orgasm. Once I got to that point, I instinctively thrust deep. I pushed the Vamp as far in as I could, held it there, and circled my hips until I came (with the help of my Magic Wand of course). The resulting orgasm was strong and reverberated like crazy. I swear I could still feel the after effects as I washed off my toys. I was so amazed. I never thought the Vamp would feel that good. I liked it so much I’m buying the Tantus Pack 'n Play No. 1 as well. It has the same shape as the Vamp but it’s made with a super squishy silicone.

My only complaint with this toy (and it's really not a complaint) is the lack of give. I mean, I love that it’s so solid but sometimes I want something plush to squeeze around. By making both the Vamp and the Pack 'n Play No. 1 a part of my collection, I hopefully will be able to have my cake and eat it too. In all honesty, when one looks at the Tantus Vamp it is easy to underestimate it. It is an unassuming toy but it does its job and it does it well. I am extremely glad I made this investment.

A great intro to girth!
Rated 4 / 5

Texture and material construction: Glossy silicone, it doesn't require much lube but it does attract lint.

Review Details: I got the Vamp as my first girthy dildo. It's 1.75 inches in diameter, so you'll definitely want to use some lube and possibly warm up with a smaller toy before trying to use it. The head tapers quite a bit, which helps make penetration a little easier. There's also a pronounced ridge that makes for easy and intense G-Spot stimulation. I can definitely squirt with this if I thrust fast enough. Sometimes after my partner finishes he uses the Vamp on me and it feels spectacular!

My favorite way to use the Vamp is to have the base braced on something so I can work it deeper while I rub a good vibrator against my clit. Lying on the couch with the legs draped over the arm works really well for this method. I've also used the Vamp anally. It has the signature chunky Tantus base which makes it safe for anal use as well as harnessable. It required even more lube for anal penetration than it did for vaginal but it was surprisingly easy to insert (probably because of the well-tapered head). However, my butt is a champion so I would definitely not recommend trying it anally if you're a beginner to using dildos in your ass instead of plugs.

Definitely a very well-made and simple dildo. Get this if: you want to try out something girthy or you're interested in G-spot stimulation. A great staple for anyone building a toy collection.
