Texture and material construction: The Pretty Plugs Blue Crystal and Stainless Steel Anal Toy is an elegant butt plug with a gorgeous Swarovski Crystal in the base. The stainless steel is buffed to a mirror shine and has a weight to it that makes you constantly aware of its presence. I have the small plug but you would never know it by the heft. In design, this plug has a bullet or tear drop shape. It comes to a point that is far more acute than any other plug I own; though, it is rounded smooth for comfort. This narrow tip makes insertion slightly easier because the small diameter allows you to breach the external sphincter or readily.
The body of the plug gradually increases moving away from the tip. It’s a very smooth size transition; especially considering that at only 1.125 inches in diameter at its largest point, it’s relatively thin. The widest part of the body is located towards the bottom of the bulb where it quickly rounds out and comes in to connect with the neck of the plug. The neck of the toy is short and thin, which makes it comfortable, while also allowing your sphincter to close more tightly so it less likely for the plug to come out. The base of the plug is this toys main attraction. It has an absolutely stunning, blue water colored, crystal embedded in it. It reflects the light beautifully, and when you look into it there is so much depth. The crystal takes up almost the entire base of the toy and it is embedded, what seems to be, very strongly. I will say though, that the base of this plug is smaller than I’d like. It’s about the same diameter as the largest part of the body. I’d be more comfortable if the base was slightly larger, however because the neck is so thin, and it’s not a thrusting toy, I still believe it makes an effective anal safeguard. Overall, I think the construction of this product is excellent.
Review Details: The first time I saw this plug I knew I had to have it. I have been in love with jeweled anal plugs since I bought the Aurora Borealis Glass Butt Plug by Crystal Delights. I love the way I look, the way I feel, with it in. All sparkly and bedazzled. A hidden jewel that only I know about. It’s a complete turn on. I absolutely love that plug. My only real problem with it is that the crystal only takes up about half the base. I wanted a plug where the crystal was given complete focus. However, I didn’t want something cheap. I wanted something with quality and construction on par with Crystal Delights, but that placed more emphasis on the crystal. When I found the Pretty Plugs I was absolutely ecstatic because it was exactly what I wanted. The construction of this toy is excellent. They used quality materials and clearly produced a product that was not only beautiful but built to last. Plus, the crystal takes up almost the entire base. I absolutely love it. It is exactly the look I was going for. And that color. It is simply stunning.
Now granted, the base on this plug is smaller than that of my other plugs, which makes me slightly uncomfortable safety wise. However, because the neck is so thin, I don’t think there is any real chance of it getting pulled into the rectum. And as a bonus, the small base means that the majority of the weight is in the body of the plug instead of the base. Because of this, it doesn’t feel like the plug is being pulled out when I walk, which was a problem with Crystal Delights plug. In use, I was quite pleased with the Pretty Plug.
Because it has such a slim diameter it slid in with no trouble at all. I was a little concerned at first because it is so pointed. However, the acute tip never caused me any discomfort and actually streamlined insertion. Regarding the feel, I loved the sensation of the cool steel. I don’t do temperature play a lot but inserting this plug felt fantastic. I’ve been working on really learning about my body’s reaction to anal stimulation and the cold really amplified the anal sensations that often get overlooked. I wore the plug for a while and found that just having it in was very comfortable. It was even comfortable lying down, which for some reason usually causes a poking sensation that I dislike. The only real irritation I experienced was that the flat edge of the underside of the plug’s base pressed into my skin when I was sitting, chaffing it a bit. I think that if they rounded them out a bit more it would make sitting in the plug more comfortable.
While masturbating, this plug was just kind of there and didn’t really do much to aid my orgasm. Any sensation I felt at my anal opening was drowned out by the clitoral stimulation. And internally it was just too short. I’ve found that if a plug is going to add any real sensation, it has to be longer. I am thrilled with this purchase. I am so glad I decided to splurge. I’m actually considering getting the pink medium and the large clear plug as well. But considering they are pricey that will have to wait a bit. Bottle line, if you’re looking for a quality plug that is absolutely exquisite, this is an excellent choice.
