Okay, be sparing with this balm. I applied it like you would a chapstick, one nice coat. It was way too intense and I felt that I couldn't kiss my partner because I didn't want him to feel that much intensity /pain. I waited a few minutes and began making out with him... he did not notice by then. I like to use it on my own now for the sensation. I will continue to use it but sparingly. I dotted some on his lips, and he slightly felt it. No matter what, this chapstick is a trip. I love it's manual/tips. Would order again. (I ordered 3 different types similar but with different brands and this one is the one I am careful with!)
