Texture and material construction: Each of these oils is rich-feeling and appropriately slippery for a romantic massage. They are primarily a blend of soybean oil, grapeseed oil, and pistachio oil. They come in slender plastic bottles.

Review Details: This is a really lovely kit for sexy vacations away or for romantic/caring times at home. You get to try all five of Kama Sutra's different massage oil fragrances, and each helps achieve a different mood. These oils do get absorbed into the skin eventually and leave it soft and silky, but still give you plenty of time to glide your hands over your partner. The zippered clear-plastic travel bag is easy to toss into luggage and protects other belongings from any escaping oils.

Sweet Almond is probably my favorite, and is definitely the one I've used most. To me this is a gently-sweet, nutty, almost raspberry-like scent and reminds me of Amaretto liqueur. It's sensual but uncomplicated - a good all-purpose scent for me.

Pleasure Garden smells most like roses to me, with hints of jasmine and sandalwood. Kama Sutra's description says it contains "Italian jasmine, rose, lavender and sandalwood." I like it for more sweetly romantic evenings - the candle-light and lingerie type.

Harmony Blend (formerly called Healing Blend) reminds me strongly of eucalyptus. It's a sort of calming yet energizing scent, and according to Kama Sutra it contains "lavender, cardamom, rosemary, sage, black pepper, clove, nutmeg, juniper and pine." This fragrance is great for a more therapeutic massage rather than a sexy one.

Soaring Spirit smells softly minty; definitely refreshing and energizing. Kama Sutra says it's a blend of "orange, lemon, peppermint, spearmint, geranium, ginger and fennel." I don't smell the citrus much, mostly the mints. I like to massage my legs with this after a morning shower, when I have time.

Serenity is an herbal/citrus scent: "cedar, sweet marjoram, neroli, orange, tangerine and lavender." This is the one to use when your partner's had a long, stressful day and you want to help them relax, clear their mind, and be able to fall asleep.

The newer packaging is even prettier than the original, which used to be just the small black logo with the name of the fragrance arcing over it in small print on a plain, frosted-look plastic bottle. I'd have to look closely at each bottle to see what fragrance it was. Now, each scent has its own (very pretty) colored label, so it's much easier to grab the one I want.

Whether you already know and enjoy Kama Sutra's massage oils or want to find out which are your favorites before buying full-size versions, this is a good value on a nice variety of 2-oz. travel sizes. I've used about half of each bottle in my kit - 2/3rds of the Sweet Almond - and I think I'll buy another after these are gone.
