Fresh, But Not Best

That fancy black and gold colour scheme really caught my eye while I was looking for other toy cleaners out of curiosity. The tall bottle design also makes it look extra elegant. However, I'm not a fan of the top you press down on this. There's no groove on it for your finger to sit and I often waste a spritz at the beginning thinking the nozzle is aiming the right way when it isn't. There's also times when it's flew off from having wet hands. Whee! Unscented is not to be confused with no smell at all. Far from it. It's naturally scented by the tea tree that's in it which gives it a super fresh kick to the nostrils. This is great if you like the smell of this particular potent plant, but some may find it a tad overpowering if they aren't fond of it. For me, it brings back memories of head lice shampoo and acne face wash - how pleasant. While the solution leaves no residue on toys, it does leave a bit of that distinctive smell on them. It seems more like the tea tree is covering smells rather than removing them? I can smell stuff on the toy and the solution, not just the cleaner or no smell which I would expect. I hope that makes sense. Maybe it's just my nose playing tricks on me? Either way, I feel more comfortable cleaning my toys twice or using more product just to make sure. The solution doesn't lather up, so it can be tricky to use as you can't tell it apart from the water you wash with. I'll often miss parts or think I've already cleaned them. Because of this, I'm very generous with the spray just to get in every nook and cranny. I've burned through this a lot quicker than my usual lathery cleaner. The dark bottle can make it harder to tell how much product is left inside, too. Cleaning time takes a bit longer because I want to make sure my toys are clean - not so easy when you can't see what you're doing. You can also spray it on a cloth if that's your thing, but I've always been more into bathing my little bonking buddies in the sink. It's comforting to know that it's organic and non-toxic. I haven't had any reactions to it on my skin or anything like that. It says it's safe to use on most toys and materials - it doesn't say what to avoid, though. I only really use glass or silicone and both have been fine. It's not a bad cleaner, but I don't think I would buy it again. I'm not the biggest fan of tea tree and the non-lathering solution makes cleaning more of a puzzle than a doddle. It was fun to experiment with a new item, but I think I will just stick to my Lovehoney cleaner from now on. I suppose you could say I'm a sucker for suds.

Love this natural and versatile spray

Love this toy cleaner. It is beautifully presented. It looks nice enough to sit on my dressing table with all the other lotions and potions without being obvious. It cleans toys perfectly and a bottle lasts ages. I first bought it because I really like the Sliquid lubes - this is just as good. A spritz of this, leave for a bit then rinse or wipe. I've also discovered another use, having googled all the ingredients just to be sure. It is fine for body use too - not internally as our bodies have their own natural balancing act going on, but as a quick clean up after sex and also as a fantastic underarm deodorant (it isn't an antiperspirant). I'm one of those people who finds sensitivity to some soaps and shower gels actually increases perspiration and body odour after a few hours. A spritz of this directly onto my skin or onto a facecloth first works absolutely brilliantly. So I wish it wasn't labelled 'intimate toy cleaner' because, like the Lovehoney wipes, it is perfectly fine for personal use too. I'd describe the slight fragrance as woody and fresh - suitable for any gender - rather than the mild tree tree oil scent others have mentioned. It is pleasant and not at all overpowering or lingering. I'll be buying more and saving on other toiletries.

Clean in Luxury

In usual Lovehoney style, the package arrived discreetly and by a tracked delivery method so I knew when to expect it. Before buying this, I'd only tried Lovehoney's own brand toy cleaner which I'd really liked but found that the bottle stopped dispensing properly towards the end, so as this was a similar price and looks so luxurious (and I use sex toys a lot so need to regularly clean a lot of toys) I decided to give this one a try. The bottle is fantastic and makes it look like it should have a much higher price tag. It also looks more like a high-end toiletries product, or even a bodyspray or perfume, so even though it does have what it is written on the bottle, I feel like unless someone was specifically looking it wouldn't be noticeable. The spray works perfectly and dispenses a good amount. It says on the bottle that it's unscented - it doesn't have a specific scent, but don't take that to mean that it doesn't smell at all because it does definitely have a scent when you're dispensing it from the bottle. I've found that the smell doesn't linger on toys or anything though so it's not a problem for me. It lathers a little for that reassuring clean feel, and seems to be cleaning everything well. I'm very happy with it and would buy it again.

Essential for anyone's toy collection

I got this to aid in cleaning my toys that I have purchased over the years. I was unsure which one to get so I read a few of the Lovehoney reviews to helps me with my decision. Having decided on purchasing this with a few other items when it finally arrived I read the instructions and tried it out on one of my toys. I really like the fact that it does not have a strong smell and helps keep my toys nice and fresh. The bottle looks very expensive too! A must have purchase for anyone toy collection.

Woody smell best smell

This cleaner is pretty good! it has a nice woody smell that i really love, it makes my toys smell like if they were luxury grade furniture, like i just pop my Flip Zero out to start some intimate time and suddenly it smells like i was in a luxury yacht ready to get it done while the guy who delivers the drinks is staring at me in a corner giving me this judgmental look while i'm just sitting there with my toy on my hand awkwardly sitting on my bed wondering "is this actually turning me on?" Also it doesn't make any foam which is not nice!

Smells lovely!

For an "unscented" cleaner, this smells really nice! It's easy to use with a paper towel to wipe down toys before/after use. I still prefer to clean mine with water as well, but an extra step of cleaning can't hurt! This product is safe to use with all my toys and especially works well on soft silicone or other smooth surfaces. My only complaint is that the cap on mine arrived damaged, but the product works fine anyways.
