Great instructional book

This book was a great investment and has really improved mine and my wife's bondage experience. The step by step photos of each knot make the instructions really easy to follow and have enabled me to quickly learn several new knots. There is also a section about rope types, which has given me an improved knowledge of what to look for when buying a new rope. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to master the art of rope play.

Getting roped in

For anybody interested in rope play, this book is a must. No matter if you get it before, with, or after your ropes, it shows you clearly in a step by step method what you can achieve and how. We have tried many of the instructions in the book and enjoyed many of them.

Incredibly good book for beginners

This book is great! Never used rope in the bedroom and this is a great book to learn from. I feel we will be prepared to use the rope we bought with it, and to do so properly and safely. Definitely good for beginners. It tells you everything you need to know about ropework, including what kinds of rope, how to clean it, and safety when using it. It then covers all the basic knots and is divided into basic sections on the types of things that can be done. It gives great descriptions on how to do things, is really well written, and the pictures are really helpful. Even includes how to include furniture and has a list of other books to read! Can't wait to start using the ideas and the knots in the book. May need to buy more rope and even the second book!

Great book, good introduction

This is a great book for beginners to rope bondsge. It covers a good range of topics, including safety as well as knots, and different scenarios including good rope bondage positions for sex. Loads of photos and easy to follow instructions which go into a huge amount of detail without being overwhelming. Highly recommended for beginners.

Great Book To Start Your Rope Bondage Experience

We got this book as a start point to rope play and bondage. It is very easy to follow and starts from the beginning including choice, rope safety and everything from basic knots all the way up to body harnesses and beyond. It comes with step by step instructions that are very easy to follow even if you have no idea about knots of any type (speaking from personal experience), but this book will have you tying your partner up in no time. :)

A great intro to tying people

This book introduces key safety concepts, and some great techniques for restaining people with rope. It shows in clear detail how to tie more complex decorative rope harnesses, as well as many of the basics component knots. I found Showing You the Ropes informative, and a great introduction to the subject. It gives you the tools to tie up, or tie down your lover. Crucially, it also makes sure you know how to keep them safe. While this isn‘t a totally comprehensive guide to rope-play, this is really great start if you're a novice, and great for inspiration if you're already familiar with the ropes. The examples are shown step-by-step with clear pictures, and I found them really easy to follow. I've tried less than half of the examples, but they're all interesting to consider. The basic ties are essentials, for sure.

Glad I bought this book as past of an offer as there are a few things in there which have come in useful, but I have to say it's a bit thin and all the pictures are in black and white. Good for beginners however and there are some more advanced techniques toward the back of the book.overall it's ok..but I can't rave about it as it's just ok.. not great.

Totally knotted

This book is amazing, just beginning out in rope play this book helped so much, i had mister tied up and unable to escape in minuets, easy and clear instruction I absolutely can knot wait to get my hands on the others book by these guys. I have to say if your thinking about starting out or just refreshing your memory this book is well worth it!!!!

Not Quite What I Was After

I purchased this so I could learn how to correctly use rope for safe bondage. On first inspection the book isn't hardback and the pictures inside aren't in colour, which was slightly disappointing. The book starts with a section on safety and expresses how key it is in bondage. It then has a section about the different ropes that are available and how to look after them. The basic knots page is useful as it explains that these knots are the staple of rope bondage. It then has various sections on different types of bondage from beginner to advanced. I was a bit dispointed as I was looking for a book with lots of different practical and simple ties that can be used for restraining. However there is rather a lot of decorative ties and a lot more advanced ties in there. This book wasn't quite everything I was after as I prefer the practical side of bondage over the decorative side. However I am aware that this may be perfect for those who like bondage more for the art form that it is.

Haven't ever tried bondage before, but this book is an excellent starter set, teaches you the basics for BDSM tying, as well as fancier designs if you can handle them. Case of point, you're gunna want to have 20+ metres of bondage rope for some of the designs. I started out with 10, which is enough for some of the "handcuffs". But if you're buying it as a bundle get more than that if you want to try everything. Does take a small bit of interpritation as the pictures aren't alwasy totally clear, but I think the only thing better would be a video, so its defo worth a buy.
