Flirty and fun for the festive season

I was lucky enough to be sent these knickers in exchange for an honest review - thanks, Lovehoney.They arrived quickly in Lovehoney's famous anonymous cardboard box (easy to recycle) and were packaged in a simple plastic bag.They're a lovely festive red mesh with satin side-ties complete with white fur pom-poms. The mesh is stretchy though this isn't as important as it would normally be as the tie-sides make these knickers a custom fit! I'm an 18/20 and they fit with plenty of room.Talking of fit, if you haven't worn tie-side knickers before, tie the sides loosely so you step into them like a normal pair then adjust to fit. Saves minutes of frustration, trust me. The hardest part is getting the bows perfect but they're so cute when done properly it's worth the effort. I'd normally ask my partner's opinion of any item I review but he's been away working for a while so I've decided to keep these for Christmas. The pom-poms make these the perfect pair of flirty knickers. I'll be wearing them with nothing but a cheeky smile and a Santa hat and can guarantee I'll be his favourite Christmas present.

A nice pressie to unwrap

These were sent to me for a tester. They came to me in the usual discreet packaging. They are a beautiful mesh knicker with silk tie sides and naughty pom poms at the end of each piece of silk.The Fit - you can make beautiful ribbons with the silk making you the perfect present to unwrap at Christmas time. As a size 18 the plus size knicker is perfect to cover lumps and bumps around that area. Unfortunately the backside seems a little loose even though I have a big bum. I think I would prefer these as a thong rather than a brief. Having said that once I've been unwrapped as a present they are perfect to help wrap my hands up to the bedpost!

On the Naughty List

My underwear drawer is certainly due a new novelty, fun piece and these are perfect to fill that spot.I’m a size 12 and these are “One Size.” There are no worries over sizing issues as the hip ties are totally adjustable to any fit you want. I feel I haven’t yet mastered a non-clumsy way of putting these on but I think that says more about me than the underwear. Once you’ve done up the ribbons (I personally like bows!) you can fiddle and adjust them to exactly how you want them to look. If you don’t secure them close enough to your body there is a tendency to slip a little, so I prefer a tighter fit.The mesh front and back aspect of the briefs is subtle and sexy and covers all the bits you may be revealing later. The mesh itself has a good amount of stretch and further eases any worries if there’s anxiety over them being “One Size.” Again, the tighter the tie, the better the fit.The ribbons add to the festive feel, along with the pom poms which are sewn securely to the ends. There are no loose threads and the build quality is faultless.This is definitely a piece that you can’t really hide under clothing, particularly with the pom poms that when tied up can be a little bulky. However dressing this up in the bedroom is totally doable. I’m thinking a matching bra and red heels?

Unwrap the festive fun

I am a big fan of Christmas dress up and not just in the bedroom - Horse, dogs and myself all have Christmas outfits for the festive season but this is a little bit more special for the festive fun at home after the family leaves. First impressions when I opened my little plastic bag were good. The ties are a lovely silky material and the pompous are soft and bouncy light. The mesh pannels are fairly shear and not quite as rich a colour as the ties but do the job required and there is a smooth lined gusset at the crotch. What is very nice is that the edges of the mesh band at the waist and around the legs have a smooth elastic sewn into them which doesn't rouche at all but provides a perfect snug fit that doesn't cut in while ensuring they are not going to slip once the sides are tied, I think this is quite unusual in side tie pieces and I really like it. To pop on it is best to tie one side first and then the other once on and then adjust in turn for a perfect fit. Pretty bows tie in and stay in place perfectly despite the silky material and the fit once perfected is lovely. Now I have a big rotund bottom, size 14 and very round from squats and after initial concern the pannels might be a bit small or sit too low at the back it turns out once correctly tied that this fits just perfectly though I wouldn't want the pannels a lot smaller. Obviously, the ties will reach to encompass much larger and smaller bottoms and I'd say this is very wearable for sizes 8 up to 16 but a 12 is probably the ideal. The other half has not seen this on yet but I will definitely be wearing it for him to unwrap on Christmas Day.

Not designed for my figure

How wrong can you go with a pair of novelty pom-pom pants? Short answer? Not very: they're fun, revealing and holiday themed. The pom-poms add a fun addition to the well used 'untie to undo' knickers, and the (surprisingly soft) red sheer fabric leaves little to the imagination whilst providing a bit of confidence-boosting cover. My only gripe with these is that it was only when I tried to position the sides higher than my hips, the (hitherto unnoticed) weight of the pom-poms meant that the pants wanted to gravitate downwards, or had to be tied up so tight that the look wasn't exactly flattering either. Because of my mum-tum, all underwear looks better if positioned higher than my hips. This isn't exactly an item fault, more a note of caution in case anyone else has a similar figure. Apart from that, these are roomy (I'm a size 16-18), soft and well made. If some low-slung seasonal briefs are what you are after, these will do nicely.
