The material is nice and soft for the wearer they are comfortable. It's a sort of neoprene (wetsuit) material, so it seems to be nice and strong. The trims are of a high quality and finish off the look of the product nicely. The buckles seem to be nice and strong and of good quality. We especially like the red and black look of the cuffs, and go perfect with some red and black lingerie. The cuffs are tightened securely with the Velcro strap, which is also good for beginners as it's quick to remove if it gets a bit too much.
