Really great for the price

Texture and material construction: The straps were made from some sort of black nylon, which isn't the sexiest thing out there but when it does as good a job tying your man down as this does, it can't be anything but sexy. Sturdy and well made; I don't think my partner or I will ever manage to tear anything.

Review Details: Overall it's a good deal for the price! The cuffs were comfortable (there are cuffs for both wrists and ankles) and were able to fit to my dainty wrists as well as his man wrists due to the Velcro fastenings. I also love the use of Velcro for an easy escape. I had read a review saying this can be a little tricky to put under your mattress at first, but my partner did it solo in a minute or so (whether that's because he was so excited or because Sportsheets had a good design, we'll never know ;) )

I'd imagine people into more intense bondage than us will want to eventually upgrade, but it's perfect for us.

Everything is smooth, well finished, and easily adjustable.

While it’s always great to break out the rope and practice my Boy Scout / Shibari-wanna-be skills, it takes time and is not exactly the most spontaneous of endeavors. First off it is very easy to “install” the kit. You can lift your bed’s mattress and lay out the kit or you can, with some mild sliding and tugging, slide the entire kit under the mattress without having to lift anything. Once in place you tuck the cuffs under the mattress in the 4 corners of the bed and you are all set for the next time that restraining your partner strikes your fancy.

Each of the cuffs uses a long, soft Velcro strap that wraps around the cuff to secure it to your lover’s wrist or ankle. The cuffs attach to the tethers with the kind of plastic sliding adjustments you find on straps everywhere (bicycle helmets, tarps, sports bags) and this makes it extremely easy to adjust the cuffs to the proper tension. I found it works best to pull the cuff from under the bed, extend it as far as possible on the tether using the plastic slide thing, secure the cuffs to my wife, and then “snug up” everything by pulling the tethers back through the plastic adjusters. We have a king-size bed and my wife is shorter than average so when I purchased this I was concerned that the tethers would not be long enough to come around the mattress and reach her wrists/ankles. To my happiness, this wasn’t an issue at all.

Once the Velcro is fastened around the cuffs and the tethers are adjusted, the restraint kit is very secure and effective. Is it as restrictive as rope bondage or as secure and ominous as leather cuffs or harnesses? No, but that’s not the intent of the kit.
