Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Lace Open-Back Panties

Great design let down by lace

Let's start with the positives, the packaging for a simple pair of pants is beautiful.  It looks sophisticated and certainly nice enough for gifting.  It is also cardboard throughout so fully recyclable.  Full marks so far. The design of the open back brief is fantastic - I love the little bow with the metal Fifty Shades pendant and from the front these look like a regular pair of albeit sexy, black, lace knickers. The split at the back is designed perfectly and beautifully frames a round bottom, very smackable. The sizing I thought was good, I got these in a 12 - 14, having a good size 14 bottom myself so top end of the range, pert but very round.  They seem to encompass my bottom easily without feeling particularly stretched and were extremely comfortable to wear. I am very happy in them and the design looks fantastic. Now, the not so positive, I have a number of FSOG toys and they're all of the highest quality, this is my first piece of lingerie from the brand and it, unfortunately, was not.  Before I put them on, where the label is sown into a side seam the lace had not been caught in the seam and there was a hole at the side.  The lace itself seems very stretchy however after wearing these for a good few hours a couple more small holes had appeared in the lace near seams. One at the side and a couple by the crotch seam. When Lovehoney were made aware of these issues they immediately sent out a replacement for a faulty item, I can't criticise Lovehoney in any way.  The replacement pair had no issue with faulty stitching and after a good amount of road testing still look pristine from front and back and sides, however, they too have developed a couple of small holes by the crotch seam where apparently I must put too much strain on them.... I swear I am not leaking battery acid from my nether regions! My bottom is the top end of the sizing bracket though so although they don't feel too small they may be under some strain? Basically, these would get 100% top marks if the lace was a little sturdier and up to the brilliant design but unfortunately the make quality and material is a little lacking. They still score well though because they are gorgeous and a few minutes with a needle and thread has fixed the issues.

Soft, sexy and suprising

First thoughts were how sleek the packaging was, definitely different to just coming in a clear plastic bag! The knickers are suprisingly soft, which is the best thing about them really. The feel against your skin is incredible and makes me want to wear them over and over again. From the front they could be a normal pair of lacy black knickers, which I find sexy because seeing hubby's face when I turned around and suggested I was ready for him was amazing. Easy access and extremely naughty. Perfect for fifty shades of pleasure!

They are very well made and high quality. The material is soft and stretchy. I was originally concerned that they would roll or slip as the material is slightly slippy, but they stayed in place nicely.They are completely open, it's not just a small gap, so everything is accessible with them on (except for oral sex, we found that was too awkward with them on).They are comfy, high quality, and most importantly imo - sexy! Definitely worth buying if you like the look of them and if you like open back underwear.

We were lucky enough to be chosen to review the Lovehoney Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Open-Back Briefs to review and as always, they arrived in the usual discreet packaging and within a couple of days.The Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Open-Back Briefs were in very premium looking packaging with Fifty Shades of Grey printed on the front and care instructions on the back. The material quality is exactly what we have all come to expect from lovehoney , as always with a review item, the first thing I always do is give them a very thorough looking over and a few tugs on any seams and look for any imperfections or loose threads etc but as always there was nothing. The lace is very high quality and strong but soft and there is a nice bow and fifty shades of grey metal logo on the front. Once on the Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Open-Back Briefs feel as amazing as they look and are soooo soft and comfortable the lace feels amazing against your skin, and I can guarantee your OH will be just as happy with them as you are. Sometimes with crotchless or open-back pants the edges around them opening can become a little uncomfortable over time but the Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Open-Back Briefs are that soft and comfortable that you can definitely wear them all day if you wanted. I would definitely recommend the Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Open-Back Briefs.

I was ever so kindly sent these Lovehoney Fifty Shades of Grey Captivate Open Back Briefs by Lovehoney in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, Lovehoney!I can’t lie, I absolutely adore exposed, open back lingerie. So very visually stunning and easily accessible to my partner, I cannot fault the style. This pair is no different.Housed in a grey card sleeve with the Fifty Shades branding, these lovely knickers feel premium and sleek from the moment you look at the packaging. I love that where most lingerie I own comes in a plastic bag, this is instead in recyclable card, giving a more luxury feel to the product. Less plastic is always a win too, since it’s better for the environment.Taking the panties out of their sleeve, I instantly fell in love with the open back look. The lace is so very soft with a floral pattern, and has a lovely lace trim around the edge of the fabric on the open back. The open back reaches just below the waistband, revealing your gorgeous bum. My partner loves this and it easily provides him access wherever he wants! On the front there’s an adorable little bow with a small gold charm which reads ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’. While I’m not the biggest fan of this franchise, it definitely looks luxury and is a unique and eye catching touch! It’s perfect for both fans and people simply looking for a new lovely piece of lingerie.I have the size L/XL and I’m around a 14/16 in clothing. It fits so very comfortably with plenty of room and stretch to fit much larger sizes than myself. They’re so very flattering and make my slightly chubby and wide frame look gorgeous! The lace feels lovely against the skin rather than irritating as some can be, which is a real treat. The crotchless and open back design look lovely too, revealing everything I could ever wish them to!Overall, these open back briefs are absolutely gorgeous, so flattering, and are such a lovely addition to my lingerie collection!
